Risk Factor for Diabetes in Different Populations of Manipur

Individuals of both sexes belonging to three different populations were randomly selected and screened for diabetes from different districts of Manipur, which is a small hilly state, situated in the north eastern extreme corner of India sharing an international boundary with Myanmar (Burma). DM was defined according to the American Diabetes Association (ADA) recommendations as FBS>126 mg/dl ororal glucose tolerance test OGTT2>200 mg/dl.
